I am breaking my silence and speaking my truth.

This book is part of my healing journey—a witness to what happens when we choose to speak instead of suffer in silence. My story is not unique, but it is mine. And in telling it, I reclaim power, invite healing, and offer others permission to do the same.

Trauma, when faced with courage, can become more than pain—it can become a path to evolution. Healing is not a checkbox; it is a lifelong journey that requires bravery, honesty, and the willingness to let go. I no longer stand inside my story; I now stand on it. I’ve let it hurt, let it bleed, and now I let it heal.

As a lifelong social worker, I have walked beside countless people carrying pieces of my own story—surviving but never given the chance to pause, reflect, and heal. Too often, families like mine were never taught how trauma shows up and takes over. This book series is my offering: a testimony that healing is possible, that secrets and silence can be broken, and that we can take our power back.

I am human. I am perfectly imperfect. And this is my truth.

I bring more than two decades of experience at the intersection of child and family services, youth justice, coaching, leadership development, and systems change. My differentiation—the Unicorn Factor—is built on Radical Empathy combined with Systemic Mastery.

As the Unicorn Coach for professional women in social services and justice systems, I don’t just teach leadership; I lead transformation from the inside out. Because I have lived every angle of the system—as the daughter of a system‑involved parent, the parent of a system‑involved child I adopted, a consumer of services, a frontline staff member, a supervisor, a deputy executive, a director, a provider agency partner, and a community advocate—I possess a 360° clarity others simply cannot access.

My work is not generic leadership training. It is trauma‑responsive, story‑driven, and ritual‑centered coaching that speaks directly to the exhaustion of women in systems reform.
